"In between the main tourist towns of Monte Gordo and Cacela Velha are the Praia do Cabeço and Praia da Manta Rota. The beach itself stretches from Vila Real de Santo António in the east, to Tavira in the west, and unlike the western side of the Algarve, is flat and the water is warm.

Praia do Cabeço is a popular destination for beach goers in the summer months, as it is relatively unspoilt and unknown, and therefore not frequented by hoards of tourists. "

"With a warm feel and welcoming atmosphere, you can enjoy a drink and snacks in the beach bar area , and relax with an entertaining ‘people watching’ view of the hustle and bustle of the beach population going by right in front of your eyes.

A menu of encouragingly convincing proportions immediately gets my vote, and the wine list meets the challenge of any first class menu.

Don’t go when you are in a hurry, a restaurant of this quality and scenery needs to be savoured with time on your side."
